Untitiled...

So, I promised when I announced that we were pregnant that I would tell you the story of how we found out...it's really funny to me! As you know we went to a Dr. I's and decided we were going to do an IUI. I was really excited we finally had some hope in sight!! My cycle was to start on a Sunday but it didn't. Now this did not send any red flags because it wasn't regular for a long time. I was very upset. I couldn't understand why all of sudden it would be late after it had been regular for 4 months now! On Monday still hasn't started! I remember crying to Randy. At this point still no inclination that I might be pregnant! On Tuesday morning unknowingly to Randy I decided to take a PG test! I was still half asleep and brushing my teeth while it was registering. I look over on the toilet lid to see this:

As you can imagine I couldn't believe it! Toothpaste is falling out of my mouth onto the floor and toilet as I am yelling/screaming for Randy to come here immediately! Mind you he is still asleep. He comes running one eye open and the other still closed. Saying what, what, what's wrong are you ok?? I pointed to the toilet and said what does that say--WHAT DOES THAT SAY? He looks trying to read it half asleep and he immediately starts crying! Me being the pessimist I said it's not right it's a faulty test. Then I was like OMG!! I this real? I called Dr. C as soon as they opened! They assured me if I got a positive then I was indeed pg!! I went and took a blood test which didn't come back till the next day. So there you have it in nutshell and the rest of the story is like every other we called everyone and cried and cried!

I felt like my belly started growing fast. My uterus is tilted so I show more than someone who does not have a tilted uterus. Here is my first baby bump pic. I think this was taken in March.

My Dr. appt went fine. They weighed me and listened to the heartbeat. The heart rate was 135. We go back June 9 to have an ultrasound. Hopefully, the baby will cooperate so that we can see what it is! The suspense is KILLING ME!!!

Lately...

I haven't posted in awhile. I go to the dr. May 12 and I can't wait! These past 4 weeks have gone by sooooo slow!! Nothing has really changed. We have picked out the nursery furniture.

This is the color of the furniture--it's not the actual furniture.

This is the crib.

This is the changing table/dresser.

We have a new pet--a goat named Heidi. She is so cute and sweet! She knows her purpose--eat lots and lots of ivy!!

You know I still can't help but think about all the heartache and pain we went through to get to this point. Don't get me wrong I don't dwell on it--I just think about and feel overwhelmed that my Lord and Savior chose to bless me, of all people! My heart goes out to anyone struggling with infertility! It is something that I have said over and over--unless you experience it you can't begin to understand the pain. When I meet someone who has gong thru it I feel an immediate bond with them!

A poem I came across the other day--

The journey from infertility to family,
someone once said, is like taking a train ride;
Never knowing whether you'll reach your desired destination.
There are plenty of stops along the ride.
And each of the passengers makes it's own decision when its time to get off.
Some never need to take the train.
Others ride it for a lifetime.
But whether you reach your destination or not, pay attention to the journey.
If you will, as painful as it is, it may reward you in unexpected ways.

So, hopefully in 4 weeks we will find out what baby porter is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
